Sport Vote: Privacy Notice

Part 1: General Overview

At Sport Vote your privacy is very important to us. Sport Vote is committed to protecting the privacy and security of your personal information. We have created a system which enables you, and your administrators only, to publicly display the information you wish to share on Sport Vote.

Please take the time to read these terms and conditions so that you are aware of how and why we are storing any data we collect from you. These terms and conditions describe how we collect personal information from you, and about you, during and after your relationship with us.

Sport Vote is designed to give you a choice on how you use our services. You will be in complete control of your account and you can manage or delete your account at any time. We will provide a detailed explanation on how Sport Vote works.

Sport Vote is happy to assist you to make smart decisions with the statistics we collect on you. You can find out what we recommend doing with your information by emailing our team.

Part 2: What will we collect and how will we use it?

Sport Vote will collect and process the personal information that you have provided to us about yourself in a confidential manner. We consider this personal information to include but not be limited to your IP address, which we will use in order to make votes reliable and fair (this will include counting and limiting votes, one per registered user per open vote, as well as checking for any vote irregularities).

In order to vote on games, you will be required to be signed into your Sport Vote account, at which time we will also be collecting data on the voting history for your account. In all cases, we will be collecting and storing your voting choices, and if you are being voted on, the times you are selected as a vote winner by other users.

Sport Vote will be considered the "data controller" of voting and statistical information, which means Sport Vote will choose how and where it is stored and processed. The legal basis on which Sport Vote processes your personal information is on the basis of Sport Vote’s legitimate interests in engaging audiences in voting on athletic events.

We will also be retaining information regarding your performance history in the events on which you are registered as a player. These details will be available for public viewing and we retain the right to sell your detailed performance history to any 3rd parties who work in the sporting industry.

Users will have the ability to input their own / their teams performance statistics. However, these details must be given in a responsible way within the Sport Vote guidelines and using the functionality we provide.

Part 3: How long will retain your information?

Sport Vote will retain all information regarding competition records, votes and personal statistical performances for a period of 3 years following collection as a minimum and may be for longer if we choose to. This information will be for internal and external purposes and will be compliant with Korean industry standards.

A longer retention period for your peer reviewed personal statistical performance can be arranged, and it will be possible to receive a downloadable profile history of your data. These additional requests will come at cost to you the user.

If you should not wish to keep this historical data past a period of 5 years your personal data will be deleted.

If you have any complaints about the way Sport Vote has managed your personal information, you are entitled to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. Any complaints you have will be subject to South Korean Law.
